PRINCELY GUJARAT TOUR ( 12 DAYS)

 

Day 1: Arrive Ahmedabad:

Arrive Ahmedabad and transfer to the Hotel. Founded in 1411 and known as the Manchester of the ‘East’, Ahmedabad is situated on the banks of the river Sabarmati.  Day at Leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Ahmedabad:

Ahmedabad is full of architectural delights with exquisite carved wooden mansions, havelis and labyrinthine lanes. Sightseeing includes visit to Calico museum, Jama Masjid and Sdi mosque, famous for it’s shaking minarets. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: Ahmedabad – Bhavnagar:

Drive to Bhavnagar visiting en-route 4000 year old excavation site of Harappan era at Lothal. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4: Bhavnagar – Excursion to Palitana:

After breakfast day excursion to Palitana to visit the impressive hilltop Jain temple complex reached by steep stairs. Remainder of the day leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5: Bhavnagar – Gondal

After breakfast drive to Gondal (200 Kms), Gondal, the capital of the former princely State of Gondal, was ruled by the Jadeja Rajput clan, till the independence of India. It is a fortified town located on the river Gondali. Present day Gondal is a testimony to the great visionary ruler Sir Bhagwatsinhiji, who introduced social reforms, planned the development of Gondal town and created a model state of Saurashtra in late 19th and early 20th century. Overnight at Hotel

Day 6: Gondal – Excursion to Junagadh

Afterbreakfast fullday excursion to Junagadh and visit 250 BC Ashokan Rock Edicts and the Museam at the Junagadh. Return to Gondal. Overnight at Hotel

Day 7: Gondal – Wankaner

Morning Sightseeing of Gondal and Later Drive to Wankaner and explore the palace and the nearby villages. Visit the palace museum housing memorable collection of antiques. View the royal collection of vintage cars. Overnight at Hotel

Day 8:  Wankaner – Bhuj:

Morning leave for Bhuj, an old walled city with maze like streets and crenellated gateways. Afternoon tour visiting the Ferguson Museum, Rao Pragmalji’s Palace made of marble and sandstone. Overnight at Hotel

** Note :DSP / Collector Office at Bhuj remain closed on  2nd & 4th Saturday & Bank / Festival Holidays. Hence set the dates accordingly.

Day 9:  Bhuj:

Explore the tribal villages, specializing in different forms of handicraft including ahir embroidery, block printing and tie and dye. Overnight at Hotel

Day 10: Bhuj – Dasada:

Drive to Dasada. Enjoy a game drive in the little Rann of Kutch to see the Asiatic wild Ass. Overnight at Hotel

Day 11: Dasada – Ahmedabad:

Morning leave for Ahmedabad visiting en route the Sun temple at Modhera and the city of Patan. Overnight at Hotel

Day 12: Depart Ahmedabad”

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight
